Actors and actresses are chameleons. They take on role after role throughout their careers, constantly changing themselves into someone new.

But some performers are lucky enough to really get to know their characters. Emmy Award-winning actress Suzanne Rogers has know her alter ego for most of the days of her life.

For more than 37 years, she’s portrayed Maggie Horton on the daytime drama “Days of Our Lives.”

Suzanne says despite its reputation as fluff, soap opera acting is one of the most difficult, time-consuming jobs in the entertainment industry. Suzanne, a former Radio City Music Hall Rockette, says it’s not uncommon to arrive at the studio by 6 a.m. and stay until 5 p.m., but she loves every second of it.

Find out how she think she compares to her character, Maggie (and what she thinks of her character’s hot, romantic new storyline!) and why she thinks network executives are FINALLY starting to realize that TV viewers don’t stop mattering past the age of 50.

Plus, Suzanne reveals the neuromuscular illness that sidelined her for more than a year in the mid-1980s and how she’s learned to live with its permanent effects.
