Abigail Trafford is an award-winning journalist and public speaker who is a leader in the movement to fight ageism and redefine the period after midlife as a new stage of growth and productivity.

She was a keynote speaker at the White House Conference on Aging in 2005, and her book, “My Time: Making the Most of the Bonus Decades after 50” has been cited by many fellow authors and journalists in their research on the topic.

She talks to Growing Bolder about how the bonus years can be an unprecedented phase of vitality for most men and women, thanks to gains in health and longevity rather than the stereotype of inevitable decline.
