Valerie Ramsey

Her story is not unlike millions of women in America. In her 20s she dedicated her life to getting married and having a family. In fact, she had six children.

When she was in her 50s and her children had grown, she considered getting back into the workplace. But having been out of the working world for so long she had no idea where to start. So she started at the bottom.

She took an entry level job at the Pebble Beach Golf and Country Club and loved every minute. On attitude and effort alone, she stood out from the rest and after a while found herself at the top as the Director of Public Relations.

She learned that sometimes, just getting in the path of opportunity creates other opportunities that are completely unexpected. That’s what happened to her at the age of 63, when models were needed for a photo shoot at Pebble Beach. She stepped in, and before she knew it, she found herself in demand for all kinds of modeling. And not just for “grandmother” roles. Valerie became the face of the sexual, vibrant, energetic senior.

She became so prominent that the main visionary of the baby boomer phenomenon said, “Valerie Ramsey is the new face, style and attitude of aging.”

And now, as she nears 70, she’s looking forward to yet her next adventure — taking it all to television!
