Words of Wisdom From a Super Centenarian

**Update: Onie Ponder passed away on December 31, 2010 at the age of 112. She was the world’s 21st oldest living person at the time.**

She’s 110 years old and has voted in every Presidential election since 1920. Onie Ponder is one in a million. She’s the oldest person in Florida and 86th oldest in the world. And she is still amazingly spry, witty and charming.

She may be breaking longevity records, but we’re just as impressed by her life philosophy — one that anyone at any age can and should strive to adopt: “I just love living every day and doing the best I can. It’s a simple thing.”

**Editor’s Note: Since this story was produced, Onie continued to smash records. When she celebrated her 112th birthday in September 2010, she became the 9th oldest person in the U.S. and the 23rd oldest person in the world.
