Meet Caesar “The No Drama Llama”

You’ve probably seen the video: right in the middle of some of the most tense parts of the protests that took place in downtown Portland, a llama appeared in the middle of the crowd. It was Caesar, the so-called No Drama Llama, accompanied by his owner, Larry McCool. Larry is the owner of Mystic Llama Farm, where he promotes the benefits of animal contact. Growing Bolder’s Marc Middleton and Bill Shafer talk to Larry about his prize llama, Caesar, who Larry says has the ability to calm the most agitated of people in the most difficult of environments. Plus, Larry, 66, shares stories from his decades of being bold in activism and animal care.
