ORLANDO (Nov. 5, 2020) – Jason Morrow, an award-winning, Hall of Fame visual journalist, has been named Vice President of Video and Audio Production at Growing Bolder, one of the nation’s leaders in active lifestyle content production. The Missouri native has been in TV production since he was a teenager, earning Emmys, Associated Press Awards and other prestigious honors for his work.
Morrow is part of a team of former WESH-TV journalists who joined forces to create Orlando-based Growing Bolder, a multi-media company experiencing explosive growth and making an impact across broad multi-media platforms targeting the desirable 55+ market.
Morrow’s extensive body of work includes everything from music videos for Justin Timberlake and Mary J. Blige to production for ESPN and Access Hollywood. He has been involved in TV production since he was in high school working for KSPR-TV. He went on to work at stations in Springfield, Missouri, and Tulsa, before landing at WESH-TV in Orlando, where he worked with Growing Bolder CEO Marc Middleton.
Since joining Growing Bolder, Morrow has run the video/audio production department. He now oversees those areas and is responsible for the company’s visual and audio storytelling through TV, radio, podcasts and online videos.
“I believe in the power of visual storytelling,” Morrow said. “Growing Bolder is leveraging that power to inspire people to change their lives and the world around them. I am honored and thrilled to be part of Growing Bolder’s leadership team.”
Morrow brings a wealth of accomplishments, including several National Press Photographer Association and Associated Press Awards in addition to two Emmys and contributions for a Dupont-Columbia Award for coverage of the Columbia shuttle disaster and a Peabody Award for an investigative series into home construction.
“Jason has always been a unique, creative talent,” said Growing Bolder Founder and CEO Marc Middleton. “He excels at every part of the video production process, from shooting, editing and lighting to audio production. It’s his growth as a leader and manager that led to these new responsibilities.”
Away from work, Morrow, a self-described movie buff, uses his estimable talents for local charities, including Franklin’s Friends, a nonprofit animal welfare organization where he has voluntarily produced several fundraising videos.
