It is never too late to live the life you really want to live, and one man proves that every time he laces up his hockey skates.

We’ve all been conditioned to believe that after a certain age, we’re supposed to fade away, disengage from life, sit in front of the TV and never get up again. Forget about getting out and doing stuff. It’s too dangerous; you could hurt yourself! Well, Mike Campbell is living proof that what we think we know is wrong.

At 90 years old, this Canadian still spends his winters playing hockey in a league, most times facing off against opponents decades younger. He calls into the Growing Bolder Radio Show and explains why he doesn’t allow his age to stop him from playing hard, even collecting some black eyes and stitches in recent years.

Find out how exercise has kept him going through some tough times, including the death of his wife at 40, leaving him to care for their 12 children, and spending a lifetime working in the coal mines.

Plus, Mike explains why he’s spent 40 years mowing lawns around his community for free.
