How would you spend the rest of your life? Navy veteran Mike Savicki got moving!

The quadriplegic is a multi-sport athlete who has competed in triathlons and marathons. He’s also a sports journalist, entrepreneur, motivational speaker, father and husband.

A five-time Quad Division champion of the Boston Marathon, the 46-year-old has racked up 79 gold medal over 22 years of competing in the National Wheelchair Veterans Games.

Mike explains the freak diving accident that caused him to be paralyzed and how hard it was for him to learn to live with his injury. Find out how sports was a crucial part of physical and emotional recovery. 

For the past three years, Mike has also been the spokesperson for National Mobility Month, an annual celebration that encourages seniors, veterans, caregivers and people with disabilities to enjoy active, mobile lifestyles.
