Legendary Stuntwoman Shares Set Secrets

For the past several decades, Jeannie Epper has appeared in more than 100 films and has been THE go-to stuntwoman for major Hollywood blockbusters, “The Poseidon Adventure,” “The Towering Inferno,” “Total Recall,” and “Kill Bill Vol. 2.”

On TV, she doubled for Lynda Carter on “Wonder Woman” and for Linda Evans on “Dynasty.”

She is now a great-grandmother in her 70s and more than ready for whatever comes next.

Jeannie explains what life on set is like for a stuntwoman and why they have to be almost double actresses — acting like the actresses they’re standing in for.

She also reveals the set secrets from one of her most extreme roles — standing in for Kathleen Turner in the famous mudslide scene in “Romancing the Scene.” You know the part where Michael Douglas ended up between Turner’s legs? Not only are those Jeannie’s legs, but she explains how that moment wasn’t even scripted.

Jeannie says stunt people consider themselves the most diverse athletes on the planet, and whatever she is doing is clearly working because she’s still finding new work on hit TV shows and in films. Find out where you’ve seen her lately.
