Twenty-two years ago, Hector Picard lost both of his arms in an electrical accident. He could have given up on his dreams, but instead, he battled back. Today, he is now a nationally-known motivational speaker, triathlete, husband, father and grandfather.

Hector tells us about his accident and why he was lucky to even survive it. Find out how he transitioned from “why me” to working hard to get his life back.

Hector isn’t just a triathlete — he’s finished nearly 90 triathlons in the last four years, including 4 at the Ironman distance (a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride and running a full marathon — 26.2 miles) making him the first double arm amputee Ironman.

He explains why he’s made it his mission in his life to help children with disabilities, which led him to start his organization Don’t Stop Living. Click here to learn more about the organization.
