Adults are gravitating to snowboards, and somebody had to pave the way.

Harold Spiker, 60, is the ambassador of gray-haired snowboarders.

He says he first tried to learn the sport 20 years ago but got frustrated by frequent — and painful — falls.

He told the Growing Bolder Radio Show that snowboarders over 50 need to find a good instructor so that they don’t fall so many times while learning.
