Growing Bolder TV: Siphiwe Baleka

In

Siphiwe Baleka is a former full-time, long-distance truck driver who started a trucker fitness program for his former employer Prime Trucking that has since become a national model for excellence.

It’s a lifestyle he deeply believes in. After spending nearly two decades away from the sport, Siphiwe recently returned to master’s swimming and became a national champion in his age group. He also completed the grueling Ironman South Africa triathlon.

He joins us via Skype to talk about his experiences in Africa, which he writes about in his book “TriBlackAlete” and why it was so important for him to take his children back to their ancestral home and prove that drams know no age, race or geographical boundaries.

Also, find out how he designed a program for the men and women drivers who spend 10 to 11 hours a day and eat all their meals on the road and helped show them that it’s not only not hard to fit it into their routines, it’s actually easier to train on the road than at home. He shares some of their incredible success stories.
