Three-time Olympic gold medalist Rowdy Gaines is the fastest 50+ swimmer who has ever lived and he says he is living proof that dreams come true.
He travels the country telling his life story to children, from grade school through high school, and explaining how he failed at five other sports first before discovering swimming late in high school.
He says in this pressure packed society we live in today for kids to be great at something from very young ages, he wants kids, parents, grandparents and coaches to all know that power of persistence will pay off, no matter what path you choose.
