Entertainment icon Carl Reiner is closing in on 97 years old and more productive than ever. Already the winner of 12 Emmys and a member of the Television Academy Hall of Fame, Reiner recently became the oldest Emmy nominee ever.
He’s written nearly 10 books since turning 90 and starred in the recent HBO documentary, If You’re Not in the Obit, Eat Breakfast, a film about people staying active into their 90s and beyond.
This Friday night at 9:00 pm EST, CBS is airing two newly colorized episodes of The Dick Van Dyke Show — conceived and written by Reiner. We spoke with Reiner about the show considered by many to be one of greatest situation comedies of all time.
