Bill Graham has been a relentless advocate for captioning since becoming deaf as an adult. He co-founded the Association of Late-Deafened Adults and is the CEO and Founder of Caption Access, a company that captions just about anything.

He is also featured in the book Great Deaf Americans.

Bill explains how his experiences being deaf have evolved in large part to emerging technologies. He tells us what the situation was like for other deaf people like himself 20 years ago and how he has been on the forefront of providing access.

Plus, he gives a fascinating history of the Internet, how at first it leveled the playing field for deaf people who could now shop and communicate via email the same ways as hearing people but today, things seem to be going backwards with the growing popularity of streaming content and online webinars.

And if you think you can’t reinvent your life, wait until your hear how Bill has reinvented himself time and again due to not only his deafness but getting laid off from his job of 20 years at Microsoft.
