At the age of 65, Bernadette Pace is one of those people who doesn’t like to sit around and watch the world go by. In fact, she likes to live in the moment by doing somersaults in the air. She’s been a trapeze artist for most of her adult life and she’s not sitting out any time soon.
Pace started her trapeze craze more than 30 years ago and has turned it into the High Flyers club and is taking her acts from her back yard to summer camps all over.
She enjoys flying through the air so much, she’s made it her goal to teach others how to fly high as well. Pace started the New York School of Trapeze where students can learn all different kinds of trapeze tricks.
She talks with Growing Bolder about her back yard trapeze rig and what she’s been teaching others about the art.
