Believe That You Can Move Mountains

Margaret Kohn is climbing for a cause. Make that causes, plural.

At the age of 58, Margaret learned that she had Parkinson’s disease, a progressive disorder that affects the nervous system and takes away a person’s ability to control movement. Because symptoms develop and worsen over time, Margaret is determined to make every day of her life count.

Our Secily Wilson sat down to learn more about Margaret’s second attempt to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, this time with her two kids, as well as her decision to make the summit in honor of the 49 victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando.

Learn more about Margaret’s climb at FoxyLadyVersusKilimanjaro.com and on Facebook at Facebook.com/Climb.4.49.

And see what happened when Surviving & Thriving host Wendy Chioji joined Growing Bolder’s Marc Middleton and Dr. Robert Masson on their own summit to the roof of Africa! Visit ConqueringKilimanjaro.com for more.
