Like many people, Barbara Hannah Grufferman was overwhelmed when she turned 50. She says so many things were changing, particularly with her body, and she didn’t know where to turn for help because there was just too much information out there.

She says the more she read, the more confused she became — eat more protein, eat less protein; eat supplements, no, don’t eat supplements, etc.

The former teen magazine publisher decided to take matters into her own hands and create the definitive guide for people like her.

Barbara created a wish list of the experts in a variety of fields and sought out their opinions. The result is “The Best of Everything After 50: The Experts Guide to Style, Sex, Health, Money and More.”

Despite the overwhelming amount of information out there, Barbara says she learned one key lesson: it’s not that complicated to create a healthy life for yourself.

She offers tips for not only feeling better, but feeling the best you’ve ever felt in your entire life. After decades of not making many changes to her lifestyle, Barbara has adopted some small — but hugely impactful changes — and now, in her mid-50s, she says she’s never felt or looked better.

She explains how she went from a slightly overweight post-menopausal woman to a marathon runner, using the methods of running coach Jeff Galloway.

And she’s experiencing a renaissance in her professional life, too, contributing regularly to Huffington Post

Barbara offers tips for staying healthy, happy and connected for the rest of your life.
