Description

What if your life experiences could better the life of a child?

In 20 cities across the country, more than 2,000 mentors are doing exactly that.

Experience Corps brings together people over 55 with elementary school children struggling to learn to read.

Michelle Hynes, the program's director, talked with Growing Bolder about Experience Corps, which Johns Hopkins University research has shown helps the adults just as much as the children.
