For more than 15 years, Dr. Laurie Helgoe says she has been helping clients awaken and pursue desires that have become obscured by their life choices.

She says she also follows her own advice and allows her desires to expand her.

In addition to her therapy practice at Family Psychiatric Services in Charleston, West Virginia, Laurie is a writer, actor and speaker who has been in a number of commercials and print ads.

She is the author of "The Boomer's Guide to Dating (Again)," and co-author of "The Anxiety Answer Book."

She is a contributing columnist for Wealth Manager Magazine.
