Some annual events are a little more memorable than others.

Take Cheese Rolling, for example! It's been an annual event for over a century! Why? Maybe you can tell us!

Here are some "highlights" from the 2008 Cooper's Hill Cheese Rolling and Wake, where every year fearless competitors roll out fro all around the world to propel themselves (literally!) down an almost vertical hill in Gloucester, UK.

Their goal? Why, chasing an 8lb Double Gloucester Cheese, of course!

And the catch is, nobody ever does catch the cheese, but they do catch broken bones, concussions and all kinds of other injuries that make this event a real crowd favorite!

The prize goes to whoever crosses the line first, but nobody ever remembers who the winner is.

It's the injured who come away with the "glory". And there are ALWAYS injuries!
