A Day That Will Live In Infamy

The attack on Pearl Harbor was one of the defining moments in U.S. history. More than 2,400 Americans were killed and our country was thrust into the midst of World War II. There are no more than 5,000 people alive today who can say they survived the surprise attack. Jack Colby did. He doesn't like to relive the event, but understands that if December 7, 1941 is indeed to live in infamy, it's important that he and other survivors tell their stories to anyone who will listen. Will you?

Ed McMahon

GB Radio

Heeerrrrrrre's ... Ed McMahon!

Even though he is best known for delivering perhaps the two most famous words in television history, Ed McMahon's influence on the entertainment industry runs much deeper than that. He recently stopped by the Growing Bolder Radio Show to talk about his new book, "When Television Was Young." In it, Ed goes straight to some of the most famous actors to ever grace the small screen to find out what made TV the cultural juggernaut it is today. Plus, he revealed to us which current late-night host he thinks is the "next" Johnny Carson.

You choose. Ride along as the GB gang stops by one of our favorite organizations to share the potential of a Growing Bolder group.

Synchronized Swimmers

Synch Or Swim

Take the timing and drama of a ballet -- and move it underwater. Add a few costume changes (including a pink boa and Santa hats), and you have a fluid, beautiful and entertaining show. Growing Bolder met the women of The Aqua Rhythms synchronized swim team in The Villages, Florida, and asked them what makes them brave enough to put on bathing suits in the middle of December. Their answers will inspire and motivate you to get out and try something new!

"Once again, we come to the Holiday Season, a deeply religious time that each of us observes, in his own way, by going to the mall of his choice."

-- Growing Bolder Radio Show guest and humorist Dave Barry
