Anne Kreamer has ignited a national debate on hair dye. She kicked off the Gray Wars two years ago when she decided to stop dyeing her hair.
Her experiences prompted her to write the book, "Going Gray: What I Learned About Beauty, Sex, Work, Motherhood, Authenticity and Everything Else That Matters." Anne, who was one of the creative forces behind projects like Sesame Street and Spy magazine, told the Growing Bolder Radio Show how she fared in job interviews and on online dating sites when she tried to do both with and without gray hair.

As another World Series gets under way, it's time to take a moment to remember the men who paved the way for today's players.
Originally tapped to be the first black player to break the color barrier, Monte Irvin instead decided to take some time to recover from his stint in the Army. But when he finally made the jump to the Major Leagues from the Negro League, he showed the world that talent is colorblind. The Hall of Famer talked to Growing Bolder about his historic career and how Jackie Robinson's style and grace helped all who followed.

Frenchman Gets High! Parachute pioneer Andre Jacques Garnerin makes the first successful descent. He jumps from a hydrogen balloon at 3,200 feet. He was still jumping and innovating at the age of 54 when he was struck by a beam and killed while preparing his balloon for flight.

Annie Edson Taylor becomes the first to survive plunging down Niagara Falls in a barrel. Talk about Growing Bolder, she was 63 years old! How was the ride? "I would sooner walk up to the mouth of a cannon knowing it was going to blow me to pieces than make another trip over the Falls."

Pablo Picasso is born. The father of cubism is still prolific at the age of 87 when his works become even more daring, colorful and expressive. Dismissed as "the incoherent scribblings of a frenetic old man," after his death, critics realize he had created a whole new style -- neo-expressionism. The Rolling Stones make their American debut on "The Ed Sullivan Show." They are considered so lewd that Sullivan apologizes for allowing them on the air. He promises viewers they will never be back. Newsweek writes that the band is obsessed with pornographic lyrics.
