When Leigh Met Harry…
Do you believe in coincidences? Do you believe that everything happens for a reason? I do – to an extent. A better term for me is synchronicity. Coincidence is actually defined as when two parts meet in perfect symmetry. In other words, the incident or circumstance was designed to happen.
Over the years, I have studied a great deal. The last few, my concentration has been on how the human mind and our universe works as one. I have explored the faculties of the mind – the parts of psychology that most of us do not learn through a formal education. Combined with experience, I have learned to trust my intuition. Some people call this a ‘gut feeling’ or the ‘little voice in your head’ that urges you in one direction or another. My personal experiences of listening to that voice have proven it to never steer me wrong.
As a new resident to
My daughter loves being outside, and I love the time to think and enjoy her company and happy babbling, so we walk daily. On our walks, our frequent route passes a local café. On numerous occasions, I had seen other mothers and caregivers entering with strollers and little ones in tow. I often passed, thinking I really should stop and go in. Maybe I would meet a new friend or two. One day in particular, the ‘feeling’ was very strong to pop in to check the place out. “Go to Java Dave’s – now!” I listened.
I entered and was very pleased to see a child-friendly area. I met another mom right away who was playing with her daughter on the floor. As my daughter was busy making a new acquaintance herself, I ordered a coffee. The manager actually made my coffee that morning and asked where I lived and what I ‘did’, as he had seen my walking by everyday. When I told him, he immediately pointed to a small group of people at a table, and told me to introduce myself to “Harry”. I walked over and said hello. What happened following that initial meeting excites me every moment of everyday now.
“Harry” was Harry Duncan. He is Group Director for a few social networking groups. The meeting that day was actually a networking group for Health and Wellness, and since I teach success principles and self-development; he and I fit like the center pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.
Since that morning, I now attend the meetups as often as I can. I have met some incredible people to help me build my business. More importantly, I have made some friends that will last a lifetime.
Harry is a true gentleman, and he has a heart of gold. His desire is to simply help others in any way that he can. He is full of energy, a wonderful conversationalist, and a great listener. He has “connections” everywhere, and I feel like I have known him my whole life. When Leigh met Harry, the stones of my path began to lead to a whole new garden of opportunity. He is a true friend and I am so grateful to have him as one of mine.
