Great idea-to post on GB! Now you need to sell it to your fellow Lake Sumter Computer Society members! And maybe to the other residents of Lake and surrounding counties.

First, our members need to know about GB. Next they need to know how to get to GB, and to your blog. Then they have to be convinced that there is a reason to go to your blog for information they want.

The bigest hurdle I think is why should they go to GB instead of their own excellent web site, www.lscs.us

For non-members we need to tell they why they should be interested in finding LSCS, coming for a couple of free visits, and then becomming members.

This latter reason is why I would encourage the Publicity Committee to indeed post an LSCS Blog on GB. Let people know that our mission is to improve the quality of life for our fellow Lake Countians (?) by better enabling them to use their PCs in their daily lives.

I applaud you Greg-now you and Jere get going.

Hi Greg, Just read your info about the Lake Sumter Computer Society. I visited once and knew immediately that I wanted to join. I received useful info and on a level I could understand. I joined at the next meeting and have been amazed at all the different programs presented. Of great help, has been the Q&A sessions, open to all, where I could ask questions pertinent to my particular needs.
The Growing Bolder presentation was great. We hope they will come again.
It has been helpful to have presentations by local vendors like MMD of Leesburg, Smart Computing Magazine (which I have subsequently subscribed to) and the various categories of Digital Photography.
Information is available for anyone interested in Genealogy. Microsoft sent a rep to make a most informative presentation.
I especially enjoy the commaraderie and the willingness of everyone to give personal help when needed. I have frequently asked questions via email and gotten immediate helpful answers.
I encourage anyone reading these postings to give the group a try...you'll be glad you did.
