The former chairman and president of Marvel Comics, Lee co-created a slew of iconic characters that have since been turned into blockbuster film franchises, including Spider-Man, The X-Men, The Fantastic Four, Iron Man, and The Hulk. His revolutionary approach transformed comic books forever
After the Age of Seventy
- At age 78, won the Hero of Literacy Award
- At age 78, won Lifetime Achievement Award from Burbank International Children's Film Festival
- At age 80, published Excelsior!: The Amazing Life of Stan Lee.
- At age 80, won the Golden Panels Awards
- At age 83, formed POW (Purveyors of Wonder)! Entertainment, a media company that produces television series, animated films, and mobile-phone programming.
- At age 83, started his own comic book company called Kapow Comics
- Created a new line of superhero comics for Richard Branson's Virgin Comics.
