Retiring from the Wild

The Leopard Man has moved to a retirement home after spending 20 years living in the wild.

Now 73 years old, Tom Leppard fled society years ago after spending over $10,000 to have 99.2% of his body covered in leopard-like spots. He lived in a small remote cabin on the Isle of Skye, Scotland with no electricity and no furniture.  Once every week, he canoed three miles to buy supplies and pick up his pension.

Leppard told  a London newspaper, "I was perfectly happy but I'm like everyone else - I'm getting too old for that kind of life. I had to canoe to Kyle once a week for shopping and it was getting too hard for me - I was one big wave away from disaster. It's a pretty nasty stretch of water.”
