Picture of the Day: The beautiful and sacred Taktsang Monastery in Bhutan. Also called Tiger Nest, the monastery clings precariously to a sheer granite cliff 9,000 feet above Paro Valley. Legend has it that Guru Rinpoche flew over the Himalayas from Tibet in the 7th century on the back of a tigress. He then mediated in a cave there for three months where the monastery was later built. The cave is said to be the origin of Buddhism in Bhutan.
