On the season finale of the soap opera "Dallas," the infamous character J.R. Ewing is shot by an unseen assailant, attracting 83 million viewers and leading to the catchphrase "Who Shot J.R.?" It turns out -- next season -- that Kristin Shephard is the shooter.
