In 1971: Joe Frazier takes the undisputed world heavyweight boxing champion after winning a unanimous 15-round decision over Muhammad Ali at Madison Square Garden in New York.
In 1973: Paul McCartney is caught doing a different kind of gardening and pleads guilty to charges of growing marijuana outside his Scottish countryside farm. He is fined $240. Paul says that a fan gave him the seeds and he didn't know what they would grow.
In 1975: Olivia Newton-John's "Have You Never Been Mellow" becomes her second Billboard No. 1 record. She will go on to have three more.
In 1999: Baseball Hall of Famer and Marilyn Monroe's ex-husband Joe DiMaggio dies at age 84. Did you know that Monroe had six toes? This guy did.
